In the most recent updates, the registration process for JEE Advanced 2022 is expected to begin in June after JEE Main exam result declaration and if you are planning to sit for the exam, you are required to register for the exam.

A few of the most important dates have been highlighted in the above table. This schedule is final and IITs will not be making any changes to these dates for JEE Advanced exam.
Examination schedule on the day of JEE Advanced exam
On the JEE Advanced 2022 exam date i.e., expected to be held in the third week of July 2022, your exam will be conducted in two separate parts i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Below is the time schedule for both the papers on the day of the exam

All students belonging to the PwD category will get an additional 1 hour as compensatory time at the end of each paper i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Both Paper 1 and 2 will consist of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects and will be held in online mode. The duration of each paper will be 3 hours and the question paper will be in both English and Hindi languages.
Each section of the JEE Advanced paper does not necessarily have negative marking. Each section will have its own unique marking scheme. The question types covered in the paper are designed to test the reasoning, comprehension and analytical abilities of students.

Registration process for JEE Advanced

Step #1 – Registration at jeeadv.nic.in
After logging in using the JEE Main 2022 roll number and password, you will find all the details that you provided for JEE main exam. Verify the details that show up on your dashboard. You have the option to update some of the information if you made an error last time.
While registering, choose the preference of the city or town where you would like to appear for the exam. Ideally, it should be the one closest to the place where you are currently staying.
You can also choose an additional email address or phone number here, on which you would get the updates or OTPs, if required at a later stage.
Step #2 – Uploading scanned copies of documents required for filling the application form
Required documents include:
- Proof of date of birth – Your Class X certificate (if the date is mentioned) or your birth certificate
- Proof of appearing in Class XII exam – Your Class XII certificate/mark sheet (if you appeared in board exam in 2021 or 2022)
- In case of name change – Copy of class X certificate and a gazette notification showing the name change
Step #3 – Registration Fee Payment
After completing the form and uploading the required documents, the last step is fee payment. The schedule of fees for each category of student for JEE Advanced 2022 is about Rs. 1,400 for reserved categories and female students and about 2,800 for Boys and Unreserved category students. Things to carry to the exam hall
On the day of the JEE Advanced exam, you are allowed to carry only the below-mentioned items to the examination hall:
- A printed copy of JEE Advanced Admit Card
- Original photo identity card in the form of Voter ID, Driver license, Aadhar or PAN Card
- Pen & pencils
You cannot carry any electronic devices, including mobile phones, calculators, smartphones, tabs or any study materials or logbooks. If you are found in possession of these items, you may be barred from giving the exam.
